Stargazing Party
Saint J. Subaru Stargazing Party at the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium
On Friday, August 10th, the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium broke the Guinness Record for the Largest Astronomy Lesson in the world! We welcomed 1,700 people to Main Street for a lesson with science educator Bobby Farlice-Rubio followed by a live broadcast of the VPR Star Gazing Party with meteorologist Mark Breen of Eye On The Sky and VPR host Ric Cengeri. Keep checking this site for updates as to our official Guinness World Record status with confirmation expected in mid-November. Pictures of the event are available for viewing here. A big thank you to all of our volunteers and to those that helped us break this record!
