Our doors have been closed for the month, but we’ve been busier than ever making changes to our displays and our building. We do this work every year to bring out the dazzle in our exhibits and enhance your visit. We have been working on installing a lift to the planetarium! Making the planetarium accessible has been a dream for many years, so we’re thrilled to put this plan into motion. Soon, our planetarium will also have new seats to make your journey through the cosmos even more comfortable! You can be a part of this exciting project! Your gift of $200 or more now through February 15 gives you a chance to place your name — or the name of someone you want to honor — on a fabulous chair for interstellar exploration.  We’re offering this naming opportunity for a limited time as we update our planetarium and get ready to welcome the next generations of space enthusiasts. Make your gift online today.

We’re also refreshing our displays and bringing new artifacts and interpretations to our musical instrument and Asian exhibits. We take our responsibility for the safeguarding of treasured objects in our care seriously, and we want you to enjoy the beauty and originality of items in our care.

We will resume our regular hours (9AM to 5PM daily) starting on Saturday, February 2nd. Please come visit and see what’s new!
