Our View is 20/20: Join our expert astronomers as they give you a tour of the winter skies, and show you highlights for 2020, including fantastic views of Venus, and a marvelous meeting of Jupiter and Saturn late in the year.

Planetarium shows begin every 30 minutes from 6 to 9PM in our Lyman Spitzer Jr. Planetarium — the only public planetarium in VT. Our last show will start promptly at 9 PM. The museum will also have a warm-up room where you can wait for the next show with astronomical entertainment on a large screen and hot cocoa to drink.

St. Johnsbury welcomes 2020 with music, magic, dance and journeys through the cosmos! Our 27th First Night Celebration brings light and laughter to town with events in venues at St. Johnsbury Academy, Catamount Arts, the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium, St. Johnsbury Athenaeum and more. Pick up your First Night North button at Catamount Arts or order online.

Fireworks at midnight are the grand finale for the night — and a colorful start to your new year! Find out more information here.
