Laura Tobin from the Northeast Kingdom Audubon Society talks about identifying back yard birds, from common chickadees to unfamiliar species. She’ll guide you through the basics of markings, calls, and habits to help novice and experienced birders get ready for the Great Backyard Bird Count (taking place all over the world February 15th through the 18th). You’ll learn how to connect with bird enthusiasts around the world using the bird tracking website BirdCount.org.

Saturday, February 9, 10:00 – 11:00 AM. There will be a short bird walk after the class, weather permitting.

You do not have to participate in the Great Backyard Bird Count to join the class.

Free and open to all.
