This program is brought to you by Balch Nature School. The Balch Nature School is a fully licensed, 4-STAR preschool providing nature-based learning at the Fairbanks Museum for children ages 3 to 5. We believe children are born with a desire to explore and understand the natural world, and that early experiences with nature set a precedent for lifelong learning and well-being. We are committed to supporting and building on every child’s innate interest in exploring the natural world. Learn more here.
An Overnight Adventure for your Stuffed Buddy!
April 9-10, ages 2 to 5, $5 per child/stuffed animal.
Ever wonder what the animals in the Museum do at night? We invite families with young children to drop off a stuffed animal on the Museum on Friday, and all the stuffies will have a sleepover in the Museum! Will your child’s teddy bear chill with our polar bear? Will their stuffed owl sing with the birds? Find out when we post photos of all the stuffies enjoying their time in the Museum before bedtime! On Saturday morning, pick up your stuffed animals and a light morning snack we provide, then join us for a video storytime where you’ll learn about how animals wake up from hibernation, and sing a song about animals with us!
Please drop off your stuffed animal during business hours on Friday, April 9 (10 AM to 5 PM). Pick up your stuffed animal on Saturday, April 10 between 9 AM and 10 AM.
Note: We ask that all participants wear masks and follow our check-in protocols when visiting the museum for drop-off/pick-up. Stuffed animals will be handled by limited staff with gloves.
