We’ll host a Freshman Humanities class from St. Johnsbury Academy as they present their capstone project: Bringing Abenaki Cutlure to St. Johnsbury, Vermont. From the students: “We welcome all of you to come and join us for the opening of the newest addition to Fairbanks Museum; our Abenaki medicine exhibit! The event will be hosted by part of the Freshman Humanities class at St. Johnsbury Academy as a piece of our capstone project. There will be fun Abenaki stories, great learning opportunities, and even a guest speaker (Abenaki member, Skip Cody) to talk about modern Abenaki culture and medicine. We will be providing free snacks and drinks for all who decide to stop by. See you there!”
This event is free and open to the public and will be held in the museum’s lecture room off the nature store.
