The Fairbanks Museum is housed in an historic building that is partially accessible for people in wheelchairs or other physical limitations.
The main gallery (including natural history exhibits, Soucy Family Exploration Station, and Naturalists Corner), Lecture Room, rest room, and gift shop are fully accessible. The Balch Nature School is fully accessible and equipped with ADA complient facilities.
The Lyman Spizter Jr. Planetarium is accessible by a lift.
The balcony galleries, Mares Science Lab and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, & Math) Classroom are not accessible at this time. Plans for a Science Annex will make these spaces fully accessible in 2022.
