Student Curators Rock!
We are on the hunt for dynamic teenagers! Join our summer team as a Student Curator!
Ready for an amazing summer? Are you up for a challenge? Are you creative and interested in science?
Then you sound PERFECT for our Student Curator program!!
Join us one day per week in the summer to present engaging hands-on programs to our summer visitors. Develop world class excursions that lead our visitors on one-of-a-kind adventures throughout the museum. Make new friends. Learn new skills.
Student Curators get an intimate look inside the museum, with access to our collections, our staff, and all the hidden nooks and crannies of the museum. If you think you have what it takes to be a Student Curator, print an application (upper right of this page), or stop by the museum to pick one up. Be sure to return it to the museum no later than May 17, 2010.
Check out the official blurb! The Student Curator program is designed for students ages 12-15. It offers a motivated student the opportunity to have a hands-on, experiential, fun and educational summer vacation. Over the course of the summer, Student Curators will conduct independent and group study into the theme for this summer’s program, develop and introduce a short presentation and supporting hands-on activities, be exposed to the inner workings of the Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium, make new friends and develop a great sense of self confidence and self awareness.

Our fearless curators dressed for the part.
Here they are at the end of a phenomenal summer. These kids worked hard, but played harder! Thanks, curators, for making summer a great time of year at the Fairbanks Museum! |
