Expeditions

The Fairbanks Museum is where adventures begin.

When you come to the Museum, you can follow a "Closer Look" guide that will lead you and your family on a themed hunt through our collections. "Closer Look" topics help you make connections with our exhibits by highlighting connections and encouraging you to engage at a deeper level.

Closer Look sheets are available at no cost as you enter the Museum.

Your adventure continues beyond our walls.

Museum naturalists, educators and friends offer guided monthly adventures that connect us with the natural world. These guided walks introduce new dimensions of appreciating the animals and plants that share our landscape with us. Expeditions are field programs that bring us into nearby fields, forests and wetlands.

Field programs are offered monthly, May - Oct. Check our calendar for dates, times, and places.

FREE to members/$5 nonmembers.
