Prepared by the staff of the Fairbanks Museum, St. Johnsbury, Vermont
The education staff of the Fairbanks Museum and Planetarium is pleased to provide you with "History Comes to School, a Curriculum and Resource Guide". The contents are six lessons, which have been presented over the years at schools in the Northeast Kingdom that have contracted with educational services offered by the Museum. These classes have had the advantage of the use of the Fairbanks Museum history collections as a visual. In this curriculum we have replaced visual objects with illustrations. With the exception of maps, charts, and reprints of catalog pages, Robin Rothman of Danville has skillfully done the illustrations for the lessons. We hope the material will prove useful in exploring Vermont history.

We are most grateful to the A. D. Henderson Foundation and the Institute of Museum and Library Services, a federal agency, for making this Curriculum and Resource Guide possible.
