Mourning Cloak butterfly
Lots of Mourning Cloaks, Commas and Milbert’s Tortoiseshells being seen around the state!
Saw what might have been a Fritillary yesterday. Ran after it, but wasn’t able to ID it. Possibly a Variegated?
Saw a Northern Spring Azure in North Danville. I was hunting wildflowers at the time!
That’s great! Keep up the good work and see if you can get a photo for us. It’s one that I have a hard time capturing an image of!
I saw a Mourning Cloak yesterday, 4/7/13, at about 3:30 in the afternoon. It was very windy, with temps near 50.
